comedysportz training ground...
ComedySportz: The Next Generation is our training class that practices every Sunday and performs on the first Friday of every month at 8:00pm

We created this performance training class as a way to help improvisers who show great potential to perform on the weekend mainstage shows - but still need a little training.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Students who have taken our ComedySportz for Performance class, or who have been invited from one of our AUDITIONS.

CLASSES: Sundays 5:30pm to 7:30pm

COST: $50 a month. Payment must be in cash or check and is due the first class of the month.

TEACHER: Dave Rockwell, and other Comedy Spot and other local improvisers depending upon the themes being covered in class.

FREE SHOWS - Students may attend FOR FREE all weekly ComedySportz and Blue Show that occur during their class session.

REHEARSALS -
Every Sunday 5:30pm to 7:30pm (with coaching)
~ CSZ:TNG will also be allowed to stay later and play games, letting themselves out the backdoor.
~ The purpose of these Sunday rehearsals is to give the newest performers a place to review the basic skills important to ComedySportz and Blue Shows that we often do not review in our weekly Mainstage rehearsals.
~ TNG Players may also come and watch the Tuesday Mainstage rehearsals.

REGULAR PERFORMANCES -
~ 1st Friday of every month @ 8pm
~ Sat 3pm kids show

UNDERSTUDIES -
There are frequent times throughout the year when players are needed for weekend Mainstage shows. CSZ:TNG players may be invited to perform.
ComedySportz 4 Kidz shows are every Saturday at 3:00pm, CSZ:TNG players will often be called to perform these two player shows because they are a great way to get the feel for a ComedySportz show.

SCHEDULING -
At the beginning of every month, we send out a schedule sign up to players to find out when they are free. CSZ:TNG players will be included in this signup.
CSZ:TNG players will be encouraged to learn to learn to run sound for the weekend mainstage shows - as many of our sound people have gone on to become performers.
