| Our
ComedySportz classes teach comedy improvisation
games, increase communication skills, boost confidence, and are
also a fun way to meet fellow local playful people Every week you will expand upon your knowledge of improvisation, storytelling, character creation and spontaneity ... all while having a lot of fun in the process! If you regularly attend class on one day or night, and miss a class - you can then come the same class on the another day. (This would be scheduled ahead of time by students and teachers.) The final gathering is a show for your friends and family, starring you and your classmates. Strut your stuff in an engaging low pressure situation! FREE SHOWS - Students may attend FOR FREE all weekly ComedySportz and Blue Show that occur during their class session. TUITION PAYMENT - is not due until the end of the the first class meeting and can be paid in check or cash. for fun class This class is for people who want simply to learn improv games while having fun playing with other improvisers. The focus of this class is in building confidence, communication skills and sense of play. While students are coached in order to learn new games and skills - less time is spent on preparing for a performance, and more time is spent on simply having fun. This class is both for beginning improvisers who want to learn the games they've seen in shows, and for experienced improv students who want to recapture their sense of playfulness in their games and scenes. |

for performance class This class is for the student who would like to eventually join a ComedySportz team or create their own shortform troupe. Students will be encouraged to hone the skills that come naturally to them, and to explore other improv skills that they find tricky or scary - all while growing together as team. Students will expand upon the ComedySportz games they know, and will receive individual critiques and challenges. This class is for students who already have improv experience. |

for teens Our nine-week workshops teach skills, boost confidence, and most importantly let you have fun. Each week we'll play different improv games, learn exercises in team-building, trust, spontaneity, scene-building, accepting and conquering fears - and have a lot of fun in the process.
